Sudden Silence

Honestly, I hate to share things like this. It almost feels too personal, too vulnerable, too "off brand" for me. But the situation is so critical that I don't really feel like I have a choice. So, here we go...
For more than 20 years, I’ve been honored to have my music featured on the Spa Channel on SiriusXM. Many of you first discovered my music there—long before you joined my email list or purchased my albums.
Satellite radio didn’t just help me reach listeners across the country; it helped make my life possible. Over the past decade, royalties from satellite radio have been my primary source of income. That monthly support allowed me to survive as an independent artist while continuing to create and release new music. Simply put, I came to depend on it.
On February 2, 2026, without warning or explanation, SiriusXM removed Spa from satellite radio and made it streaming-only through the SiriusXM app.
Overnight, thousands of listeners lost access to the channel—especially those who listen in their cars or live in rural areas where streaming isn’t reliable. At the same time, the artists featured on Spa lost the vast majority of the income tied to satellite broadcasting. For me—and for many of the independent artists you hear on Spa—this is a catastrophic loss of both listeners and livelihood.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been asking listeners to contact SiriusXM and share their concerns, in the hope that they will listen to their audience and restore Spa to satellite Channel 68. Your response has been incredibly heartwarming, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has already spoken up. But this effort is not over yet.
I’m asking for your help.
Please take a moment to send a message to SiriusXM and ask them to bring the Spa Channel back to Channel 68:
Every message truly matters. Listener voices are the one thing that can still influence this decision.
Through all of this, it's been understandably difficult to focus on creating new music. But during the recent blizzard here in New York, I found a beautiful moment of quiet inspiration and began working on this new piece, which you can preview in this short video made earlier this week.
Thank you for your support during this difficult and challenging time. I really appreciate it.
